The Sheraton Hotel's online registration page lists a date range that starts before and ends after the conference. This makes it possible for you to arrive early or stay on after, and still receive the same discounted room rate.

A Place at the Table 2008 will be held at the Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre Hotel. All of the conference events will be held in the hotel. Conference attendees are encouraged to stay on-site at the Sheraton.

The Sheraton City Centre Hotel is in the heart of Downtown Indianapolis. There's over 350 rooms on 21 floors, a great view of the city from the rooftop pool, wireless internet, and a Starbucks right in the lobby.

The conference is going to keep you pretty busy, but if you find yourself with a few minutes to spare you should definitely check out all that downtown Indianapolis has to offer. There's world class restaurants, museums, and great shopping all within walking distance.

Here's a great map of the Indianapolis downtown area. The Sheraton is actually labeled "Radisson" on the map (it was the Radisson until July of 2007), and you can find it just to the upper left of the circle.
