Come early - stay after - Indianapolis is a great city to visit!

Indianapolis is a great city to visit, and we hope you'll have time to see some of the sites. A Place at the Table 2008 is being held right in the heart of downtown Indy, just a short walk from great restaurants, shopping and museums.

One note, public transportation could be better. So if you are going to venture further out in the city, or if walking is difficult for you, we suggest renting a car.

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis
Not just for kids, this is one of the best children's museums in the world. Too far to walk (about 25 blocks north of the hotel).

Indianapolis Museum of Art
Too far to walk, about 48 blocks northwest of the hotel, but worth a drive.

Indiana State Library

Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Too far to walk, but if you're interested in motorsports, it's a can't miss.

Shopping

Grocery - O'Malia's is the closest to the hotel, though it's a bit of a walk (1/2 mile).

Drug Store - There's a CVS just around the corner from the hotel. Choose either the 175 North Illinois location or the one at 105 East Ohio.

Natural Food - Whole Foods will be opening on the northside (86 blocks north of the hotel) sometime in 2008. Until then Wild Oats is the easiest to get to from the hotel.

Clothing and Everything Else - Circle Center Mall is only a few blocks away. It's got it all.

There are so many restaurants in downtown Indy we can't possibly list them all. The ones below are either close to the hotel, or ones we recommend that aren't too far away.
