The conference theme, A Place at the Table, reminds me of The Dinner Party, the wonderful installation artwork of Judy Chicago, which premiered in 1979 and is now on permanent display at the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Chicago's work depicted a table with thirty -nine unique place settings representing women from throughout history, honoring their lives and their beliefs. Like Chicago's artwork, EEWC's conference aims to welcome and include all who know that 'there is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female, for all . . . are one in Christ Jesus' (Gal. 3:28)
