Join Our Conference As We Walk In The Way Of
Insight!
The organizers of A Place at the Table 2008, the
biennial conference of the Evangelical and Ecumenical Women's Caucus, invite
you to learn and grow with accepting, progressive Christians during an exciting
three day conference to be held June 27th - 29th at the Sheraton Indianapolis
City Centre Hotel in Downtown Indianapolis.
We are inclusive Christians. We celebrate
equality and diversity within the Christian faith. We are a welcoming
congregation of believers who understand that all of us, male or female, gay,
lesbian, transgendered or heterosexual are one in Christ.
Wisdom says: "Come eat of my bread and drink
of the wine I have mixed. Lay aside immaturity, and live, and walk in the way
of insight." Proverbs 9: 5&6 (NSRV)
The theme of our conference, A Place at the
Table 2008, reflects EEWC's longstanding position and commitment to compassion,
equality, and justice for all people. This position is based on our
understanding of Galatians 3:28, "There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no
longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female, for all of you are
one in Christ Jesus." (NSRV)
EEWC's biennial conferences have been held at
various locations across the country since 1974 and offer in-depth discussions
in theology and justice issues, as well as programs for personal and spiritual
development. This tradition continues with our 2008 conference.
While attending A Place at the Table 2008, you
will experience three days of:
- Talks given by our featured presenters
